During our first away game of the season, the Mets dominated over Lakewood with a score of 17-3. It was great to have two of our players joining the team after finishing their time playing middle school ball. Welcome to Austin Lindsey and Jacob Hunsicker. They were wonderful additions to the team both in hitting and fielding.
Austin Lindsey hit the team's first out of the park homerun during tonight's game. Excellent pitching from Brandon Waller.
Pictures from tonight's game are here.

Mets Overtake Yankees in First Face-off of the Season
In the first of many games against the Yankees this season, the Mets overtook them winning with a final score of 6-5. It was a battle to the finish for the victory with the Yankees having last at bats.
Pitchers this game were Jarret Ray and Brandon Waller who both did an excellent job. Webb McCasslan and Montrez Frey both had excellent plays in the outfield and at second base, saving game winning runs.
Photos from this game are located here. What an excellent game for both teams! I'm sure all the kids look forward to meeting up again!

Mets Fall in Last Inning to Coopertown
What an exciting game of back and forth for the Mets on Monday night. Despite drizzle and cooller temperatures, the Mets came out ready to play baseball, but somehow couldn't get their bats going until the next to last inning. Coopertown led 6-2 and then after some incredible batting, the Mets pulled ahead 7-6. With three minutes to go, the referees called for another inning and Coopertown scored three more runs. Since the Mets were the home team, we got last bat, but couldn't pull it off and loast 9-7. It was a great game to watch though and the excitement on both sides was palpable as our kids continued to hit and score in the next to last inning.
We hope to see Trevor back at the next game as he got hurt playing before the game and was unable to play.
Pitching this game was Jarrett Ray and Bailey Hooberry.
Good job, Mets!!

Mets Score First Win Over Lakewood
What a FANTASTIC first game the Mets had on Saturday night against Lakewood. The ran held off, and the boys racked up their first win with a final score of 13-2. It was a slow start, but several great hits and baserunning by the boys brought the score up considerably. The defense was excellent as well, holding the opposition to only two runs. While there were a few errors, to be the first game, this year is shaping up to be a great one.
Pitching this game was Jarret Ray. We hope to have a list posted of all who scored runs soon.
Way to go Mets!

Great job Mets!! Tonight was our first game of the season -- our exhibition game against the Yankees. Our boys went out there and did a great job of playing and won with a final score of 8-4. Parents and fans tried to stay warm in the 40* night air and cheered our boys on! Our next game is Saturday at 5:00.

Uniforms are Here
Last night the team got their uniforms and WOW! they look nice. The color combination and style are kickin'!! Our boys are going to look awesome on the field this year. We also had team and individual photos made.
Remember that our first exhibition game is THIS THURSDAY (the 16th) at 7:30. Coach Rusty would like us to be there no later than 7:00.
Also, if the weather is good on Saturday, we are going to arrive a bit early and get our team photo remade since we were missing one player and one coach. This way, we'll have a full team shot. Coach Rusty will let us know for certain on Thursday night.
GO METS!!
